Team Canada and the Conmebol Tournament: Written by Theukien Saayas. Team Canada (men's football team); They finished rather well in this year's tournament above and beyond many other teams that are considered more established in International Football; teams such as Ecuador and Bolivia for example. It was once the case that Canada was a distant hope and prayer to get to the tournament; a hope and prayer to qualify. This year, Canada's team stands out in history. It is a milestone for the team. It is true historic achievement. We have to learn to pass the ball in team cooperation before we can score. Should we pass it in a circle during the game? Pass it with the ball moving backward toward your own goal or pass it forward toward the opponent's goal since I will be bored in this country if I have to....so, we will share what we have learned. We must have some natural expectation of fairness and equality in life and the game or else we may as well hand the ball to the other team or the other human population and get off the field. We must know how to budget our income support that is to be paid equally to us at $70,000.00 per year and that is easy for us to do in Team Canada cooperation. We must drink milk. We must clean our teeth four times a day. We must have ten children of our own and own a pizzeria. We have to learn how to defend before we can have a clean sheet. Is it a changing of the guard in international football? We can say it is a changing of the guard somewhat also in that the team finished higher than Brazil in this year's tournament, placing for the first time fourth overall and they demonstrated a true Salford Quays cunning and classic soccer footie in their quality. Well done! Brazil will maintain its near top place in the international standings certainly. Canada has set for itself a new mark; a new plateau; a new expectation. All are cheering for what cooperation we see on the field and this will galvanize into new social cooperation and support as we help each other in society and the economy. We can score the goal; help each other enjoy, cheer and celebrate our interaction; support each other, cover each other, fight for each other not only on the field but in life as "Canadians" and appeal to the referees, the authorities to see the situation based on the rules and give us as Canadians the consideration we think fairness requires in resolution. Team Canada has done well.
